Update: 2025-12-04
Description
L.C. Greenwood, a legendary Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end, has been named a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026. This marks his first time reaching this stage in fifty years of eligibility. He is one of three seniors finalists, joining Ken Anderson and Roger Craig. Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft are coach and contributor finalists, respectively. Greenwood, a key member of the 1970s Steelers, earned four Super Bowl championships, six Pro Bowl selections, and two All-Pro honors. Despite his impressive career, he had not made the semifinalist list last year. Greenwood, a native of Canton, Mississippi, retired in 1981 and passed away in 2013. The full selection committee will now vote on these finalists.
