Lean in to Impostor Syndrome Using the Body as a Guide
Description
Have you ever felt yourself swallowed almost-whole by imposter syndrome? Feeling like at any moment, someone will find out that truly you are a terrible, unworthy person? Perhaps even reject or abandon you - and that fear secretly consumes you --- has you over-performing to the point of exhaustion and frustration more often than not.
If you're human-- I have a feeling your answer is yes. It seems to be part of how we've come up in this world-- to doubt our very selves at the cost and expense of our well-being.
In today's episode, I welcome Tony to a coaching conversation where he shares his own honest relationship with imposter syndrome.
Together, we skip the over-analyzing and instead come back home into the body. A place where you can ground into your own energy and discover truths that may be more helpful and more supportive than allowing the mind's worst-case ideas to hold you in its talons.
Maybe there is no fix needed -- no proving to yourself that you're not an imposter, but rather choosing a gentle loving body-led alternative that takes a different road instead.
