Matthew 14 contains several important events in the life of Jesus. The chapter starts with the news of the execution of John the Baptist, which deeply affects Jesus and his disciples. Later on, Jesus performs several miracles, including feeding the 5,000 people with five loaves of bread and two fish, walking on water, and healing many sick people. The chapter ends with Jesus arriving in the land of Gennesaret, where people recognize Him and bring their sick to be healed
