Description

The Emergencies Act passed by parliament in 1988, should only be used by the government to deal with extraordinary emergencies such as if the country is under attack. So why did the Trudeau government invoke the Emergencies Act to violently shut down peaceful protestors and shut down bank accounts of people who supported the truckers? Why is Trudeau refusing to release the results of the inquiry into his use of the Act? Toronto Sun columnist Lorrie Goldstein says Trudeau's arguments for invoking the act are weak.

The Trudeau government printed more than 400 billion dollars' worth of new money. Is this one of the contributors to the skyrocketing inflation we are seeing in Canada? Ian Lee, with Sprott School of Business at Carleton University, explains what is driving inflation in Canada and yes, interest rates are going up.
