Description

Continuing our discussion with Jenny Li (Yan's mom) with Part 2. Jenny describes the tough lessons she learned during her first years in America as a new young immigrant in the late 80s. She shares how luck and a very good friend helped her get a student visa, how she got her first job even though she didn't speak any English, the struggles that showed her how resilient she was, and the kindness of people along her journey that allowed her to shape her career. Despite the difficulties Jenny has experienced, she always had hope. That hope guided her to maintain the resilience soul she possesses to this day. #HERstory
