North Carolina Supreme Courts ruling favors AdventHealth in Asheville hospital bed dispute, potentially allowing construction of new facility. HCA, operating Mission Health, has consistently appealed decisions, delaying expansion of healthcare services. State Senator Julie Mayfield believes this ruling removes final obstacle for AdventHealth. HCA has also appealed another twenty-six-bed certificate for the same facility, which is still active. A public hearing to discuss proposals for additional one hundred twenty-nine beds in Buncombe County is scheduled for December sixteenth.
