UNC Health and Cigna reach new agreement, ensuring in-network coverage for Cigna patients at UNC Health facilities. Previous contract expiration caused uncertainty, but new deal covers all Cigna Healthcare commercial plans. Patients who paid upfront during lapse will receive refunds. Agreement benefits patients and providers, with no increased costs or provider changes. Deal retroactive to December first.
