Narcan “The Growing Issue of Overdoses and Our Role as Healthcare Professionals”

In the past 2 decades the amount of overdose deaths has increased over 4 times the amount and our way of combating the increase has yet to work. Our role right now needs to be focused on treating the patient as a whole and mitigating side effects caused by the reduced respiratory drive. Secondly to that, we need to make Narcan accessible and teach the public the most important things when interacting with these patients to maximize safety and patient outcomes!
