Dr. Edward Tingley explores the implications and legislative history of conscience rights and the necessity of defending them to prevent destructive and catastrophic consequences for medicine and the culture at large.
Dr. Edward Tingley holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Ottawa (1995) and a B.A. in Art History from Carleton University (1978). Dr. Tingley has spoken on topics in philosophy and ethics (rights of conscience, Aristotelian ethics, Nietzsche, Alasdair MacIntyre, etc.) and in art and culture (the Gothic cathedral, art and the Gospel, modern art, cultural decay). Currently he is the the dean of Augustine College in Ottowa, Canada where he has taught since 2006. Dr. Tingley has published occasional articles in Touchstone and First Things.
