Description
The difference between sanctified ambition and human ambition is simple. Sanctified ambition originates in the heart of the Father and is fueled by a sincere desire to please Him. Human ambition originates in the heart of man and is driven by his own ego needs. Herein lies a great danger to the man or woman of God—we are not tempted to do bad things as much as we are tempted to attempt things God has not called us to do in order to satisfy our ego.
“I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.”

Lord Jesus, sanctify our ambition, redeem it, conform it to Your perfect will. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
