Description
Although the crucifixion of Jesus appeared to be a tragic miscarriage of justice, it was not. He was not a helpless victim, but a willing sacrifice. He chose to die so we could live. He endured the shame of the cross so that we do not have to bear the shame of our sin. He was made to be sin for us so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
“It was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed…but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”
— 1 Peter 1:18-19
Lord Jesus, help us to receive Your love so we can go share it with others. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
