Origin Stories Part III: Women, More Than Helpers
Description
In this study we take a look at the weak translation from Hebrew to English that results in the woman being a "help mate." Informed by the work of Carolyn Custis James's book, "Half the Church: Recapturing God's Global Vision for Women," we look at the Hebrew usage of "Ezer-Kenegdo," and how it informs our proper understanding of how the first woman is described in Genesis 2. We are challenged to embrace women co-laborers in life on mission.
