In episode 45 of The One Fab Day Wedding Podcast, we're focussing on an area of wedding planning that most couples dread discussing, or even thinking about - budgeting! Drawing up and sticking to a budget is blatantly not as fun as shopping for your wedding-day outfits or attending a cake tasting, but it simply has to be done. We can’t promise to take the drudgery out of budgeting, but by following our wedding budget tips, you should at least be able to do it efficiently, freeing up more time for celebratory Champagne!

Episode Breakdown: Our Top Tips for Mastering Your Wedding Budget

Wedding tip: Celina's tip this week is make sure to eat breakfast on the morning of the wedding, and factor this into your getting-ready plan!

Main topic: This week, we're talking about budgeting, which, along with making the guest list, tends to cause the most hassle, confusion and arguments among engaged couples, so we’ll be treating this topic pretty seriously. But, hopefully we can have some fun along the way, too! We've poured all of our expertise into creating a step-by-step guide to wedding budgeting, which should help you get off on the right foot, regardless of how much you've got to spend! Some of our wedding budget tips may sound a little bit strict, but our aim with this episode is to help you avoid common budgetary issues that real couples contact us about all the time. In short, you'll thank us later!

Wedding dilemma: A listener writes, “I’m going to be shopping for my wedding dress soon, and I’m already starting to stress, as I’ve had loads of offers from people who want to attend appointments with me. My Mum, my Aunty, my partner’s Mum, my partner’s Stepmum, my three sisters and four of my good female friends, and my best friend in work have all mentioned it, and obviously, that’s way too many people to fit in one boutique! How do I choose, and how do I let down the others down easily?!” Our advice for this listener is to prioritise the people you expect to be the most helpful, and organise a few extra boutique visits to accommodate anyone who you feel obliged to invite, for example, your Mum or sisters.

Something to do when you're not planning your wedding: In this episode, Celina's suggesting hosting your pals for a weekend brunch or lunch - late January's the perfect time in which to do it!
