Taking over a Chennaiyin FC side languishing at the bottom of the table in ISL 2019-20, he worked his magic and took CFC to the ISL final. Under him we saw the best of Nerijus Valskis, Anirudh Thapa, Lallianzuala Chhangte among others. But it doesn't end there. Last season he took over Jamshedpur FC and nearly took them to the ISL playoffs.
