PAIN OF DISCIPLINE OR THE PAIN OF REGRET / Lifelong learning motivation / Weekly Warrior Wisdom for Men
Description
In this lifelong learning motivation, I share a message about the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. A great quote by Jim Rohn “We must all suffer one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.”
I just lost a dear friend of mine to a suicide, and I wasn’t there for him. I have spent the last decade becoming a lifelong learner and working on my own self development and self mastery in order to become the best version of myself. But yet I never shared my struggles or my victories with my brother, and it might have been just what he needed to keep going. It seemed like he had everything going for him. He was married for over 20 years, had a son and a daughter, and owned his own electrical company.
But nobody knows the gunfire that was going off in one’s mind. The shackles that bound him to continual internal suffering. Now I may have not been there for my brother, but this tragic event gave me the fuel to step foot into a journey to help other struggling men around our planet.
Because let’s face it, life is not all it is cracked up to be. It can be f...... hard at times, and it will beat you down when you least expect it. But it can also be pretty amazing once you have a warrior’s mindset and discover what to focus on.
We all have two choices the moment we wake up in the morning. We can either continue being a victim of our past. Or we can become visionaries of our future.
As men, we have the power to intentionally forge a new path towards a better future and create a more desirable life.
If you want to become a better father, husband, lover, make more money…
It takes F…… work.
IRON SHARPENS IRON.
You must embrace the suck in your life and let it become your fuel to rise up as a life warrior, and keep going towards that which your heart is seeking.
But it takes work in order to do this. It takes self discipline and self mastery. It takes becoming a lifelong learner and break the chains of limiting beliefs.
You can either live with the pain from discipline or regret. The problem is the pain from self discipline is temporary while the pain of regret is everlasting.
Rise up and take your life back.
