Susan Spence from ISM Manufacturing reacts to the latest U.S. manufacturing data as the PMI shows contraction for the ninth straight month. “Supply deliveries are happening quicker,” which is actually a sign of overall slowness, she notes. However, some sectors like computers and food & beverage showed some strength, though Susan thinks that could be transitory.
