PRIOR GENERATION (11.18.25): Looking at the NFL through a cleaner lens
Description
In this week’s episode of THE WINDOW: Sports betting podcast, Matt Russell (@mrussauthentic) opens the show by discussing what “Priors” are in sports betting, and how it’s about as simple of a concept as you can imagine.
Through 10 weeks of NFL play, it’s time to move on from what our preseason expectations were for some of the NFL’s supposedly elite teams, while also opening up to the possibility that there could be a shift in the hierarchy.
Matt goes through each game in Week 11 via “Right or Wrong,” discussing what might have been the best “witching hour” of the season, and why it felt like “the old days” with so many games hanging in the balance throughout Sunday.
Then Matt describes why he’s impressed with the Seahawks, annoyed with everyone but Wyatt Teller in Ravens-Browns, and wonders aloud what the actual difference is between a team like the Eagles and the Broncos.

Lastly, the “Saturday 7” and College Football’s big games for Yahoo! both went 5-2, so after a run down of the wins in Week 12 of College Football, Matt looks at Oklahoma and Texas A&M saving the day for their CFP and SEC title chances, while Duke and South Florida completely blew theirs for the conference in “Teams of Interest.” Plus, a quick Heisman Report wonders why Marcel Reed is getting no credit for a 30-3 comeback, a week after Fernando Mendoza got so much for someone else’s great catch.
It’s time to head to THE WINDOW, let’s go!
