he Apostle Paul finds himself in prison when he writes the letter to the Philippians. But he rejoices in the good that God brought from his difficult circumstances. We will encounter suffering in the world. Everyone has problems. But God gives us faith and hope to confront the challenges. And when we face our challenges in faith, it serves as a powerful testimony to others.

The reading is Philippians 1:12-30.
