PhonePe, a Walmart-backed fintech company, is shifting its focus from consumer-facing quick-commerce to business-to-business services for offline merchants. The company is shutting down its Pincode e-commerce app, which launched in April 2023, after struggling to compete in Indias online retail market. PhonePe will now concentrate on expanding its business-to-business offerings, preparing for a public listing in India in mid-2026.
