In 1968, the University of Utah purchased 300 acres along the valley’s east bench to create a hub where up-and-coming companies could set down roots, grow and develop innovative products and provide jobs for entrepreneurs and researchers. This year, Research Park received a national award for its fulfillment of that goal. What’s next for Research Park? Patti Ross, chief business strategy officer, and Jon Bates, executive director of the Department of Real Estate Administration, discuss the past and future of Research Park in this episode of U Rising.
