S03 E02: Relationship/Self-Love Ambassador Derrick Jaxn Exposed for Serial Cheating
Update: 2021-03-26
Description
There are a number of people calling themselves an expert but what steps do you need to take to call yourself an expert?
Listen to this episode as I speak with Licensed Mental Health Therapist who specializes in couples therapy, Mac Stanley Cazeau, LMHC. During this episode, Mac breaks down why people should not just automatically consider themselves an expert in a particular area when they haven't put in the work to understand the true definition of being an expert. We also talked about relationship trauma and the NARC label that people are putting on Derrick Jaxn.
The big question is, how can you lead when you are not setting a good example for the ones you are trying to lead. Can you call yourself a dating/relationship expert and have an unhealthy relationship? You are obviously not practicing what you are preaching. This isn't to say that people are perfect, however; if we are offering advice to help people formulate healthier and happy relationships, what practices are you telling us that you aren't telling yourself?
If you go to a financial advisor, you are assuming they are capable of financial advice. If they themselves are not financially stable, continue to make bad investments and have filed for bankruptcy a few times. How much of their advice would you depend on?
Derrick Jaxn is promoting his new book, Heal Together and a lot of people are wondering if this cheating scandal is going to now ruin his "career" - what is your opinion?
