After joining the Royal Marines at sixteen, Ben was deployed to Afghanistan, where he was severely injured in an explosion, losing his right leg and left arm. Despite the catastrophic injuries, Ben's mental strength and determination saw him push through his recovery. He quickly adapted to life with prosthetics and went on to run the London Marathon for Help For Heroes.
