SYSAMONE PHAPHON - CHANGING STIGMA ONE LANGUAGE AT A TIME
Description
@sysamonep grew up with đ± in the garden and on her plate just like any other herb. Her mother often used it to flavor soups and other dishes. It wasnât until the war on drugs that she knew anything was âwrongâ with it. Having family support has been key as Sysamone has dedicated her life to fighting stigma and helping others heal with plant medicine, with an emphasis on making sure her community is included in the healing. Partnering with HIVI to educate the AAPI community on how đ± can help them with the free book Modern C@nn@bis: A Beginnerâs Guide to Conscious Consumption which has been translated into 11 different languages - Bahasa, Cambodian, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Lao, Malay, Mandarin, Tagalog, Thai and Urdu. Volume 2 is in the works with more education and languages - 20! Itâs a work of love and commitment from many volunteers - please get and share a copy!
Her new line @savanhwellness provides medicine in usable doses and methods - gummies (I love the guava and lychee) tinctures (which are delicious and I am trying to have served at my local watering hole) and of course balms are all very user friendly, non-threatening products in doses consumers can take to more effectively manage their day. Thank you @sysamonep for your dedication to building health and community, staying a light of optimism during uncertain times and believing in your dream enough to go after it - itâs life changing for so many!
