Sage Against The Machine Episode 32: Energized
Description
Sage Against the Machine Podcast
Decolonization, Assimilation, Acculturation, Adulteration
Native people. Indigenous. Onkwehonwe, the original people of this continent.
We have a bright future ahead of us, as we clamber out of the rubble of history and into our bright new future. We build that future now, the choices we make today will carry forward, and determine if our communities in our cultures survive, thrive, or wither away into nothing.
Niche as hell? Absolutely. However, we share many of the same challenges, and all peoples might be able to glean a nugget of truth, an ember of an idea, to spread into a flame.
Welcome once again, smudge yourself off in the Sage and get ready to rail against the machine. We had a bit of a break over this summer, but we're getting into it once again, lifting our voices, and bringing in some amazing voices of our relatives.
Today we welcome back Marina Johnson Zafiris Taiewennenhá:wi. Marina is a scholar, phd candidate, activist, and a powerful voice in Akwesasne.
She joins Joshua and Isaac to catch up on some of the doings of the summer, a wrap up to some of our prior doings, and preparing the way for some challenges that may be rising.
We'll be talking direct action, environment, legal cases, and nuclear energy. With so many things happening in this fast world, it's tough to stay in the loop, we'll do our part in sharing the knowledge, come sit and join us.
Follow our feed for more discussions in the future.
