yes. and it causes the cells to become irregular and long story short they can become precancerous, and eventually cancerous. Hpv is one of the main causes of cervical cancer, and that is what they are looking for when they do a pap smear. changes in cervical cells that can indicate possible turn towards cancer. if left alone amd not caught or treated, it can kill you.
so HPV is an STD? and maybe I missed it but how does a virus become cancer?
