For his recommendation, he is going back to the 2006 Oscar winner for Best Foreign Language film, THE LIVES OF OTHERS! This Cold War period drama centers on Stasi Captain Gerd Wiesler played by Ulrich Muhe, who is assigned to surveil renowned playwright Georg Dreyman and his lover and prominent actress, Christa-Maria Sieland. As Wiesler grows more entangled in the lives of his targets, he begins to overlook the rebellious uprising unfolding before his very ears.
