Alexander Denning is a former felon who has turned his entire life around and become a successful model, actor, and father. He sat down with us on this episode of Mindful Space to discuss his experience in prison, what he has learned, and how it became one of the biggest blessings of his life. 

Alexander also shared with us how prison can severely impact one’s mental health and discusses an inmate’s access to mental health resources or treatment. We also asked the model and actor about his first day in prison as well as what a typical day there looks like. 

He shares with us how he would cope with poor mental health in prison and meeting another inmate by communicating through the wall and how this person convinced and motivated him to turn his life around completely. He promised this inmate that he would meet with a modeling agency once he got out, which is exactly what Alexander did.
