Description

On January 10, New York State Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan sentenced President-elect Donald Trump to an “unconditional discharge” in the New York hush money case, in which Trump was convicted on 34 felony counts. Trump will face no jail time, financial penalties, or probation. The sentencing marked an end to the only case against Trump that reached trial and makes Trump the first president to take office as a convicted felon.
