It was someone she knew. They were able to get close to her so the dogs knew the person as well.
of the dogs were so protective why didn't they save her lol
I think the Captain's been inhaling some fumes himself. Anywho, to much about it points to the husband. The Dogs, the gun, showing up at the park as a "concerned" husband. But stranger things have happened.

my German Shepherd was under my absolute control. I always walked her off-leash. she wouldn't even cross a driveway unless I told her to. she lived for playing ball and frisbee, but if one went into the street, she would lie down and look at it until I told her she could get it, or until I got it for her. they're highly trainable; that's why they're utilized in vast specialized positions.
