Description
Soybean prices on the Chicago Board of Trade decline across all contracts, with the January twenty-six contract closing at eleven dollars and forty-two cents per bushel, down eleven and a half cents. The March twenty-six contract also drops, ending at eleven dollars and forty-nine and three-quarters cents, a decrease of ten and a half cents. The overall volume for today is estimated at eighty-seven thousand two hundred forty-one contracts. Yesterdays trading volume was significantly higher, at three hundred forty-two thousand six hundred twenty-four contracts. The open interest stands at nine hundred seventy-two thousand one hundred thirty-seven, a decrease of fourteen thousand eight hundred twenty contracts, indicating a downward trend in prices and a reduction in open interest.
