Soybean Trading Resumes, China Buys US Soybeans, Agroconsult Forecasts Increased Crop
Update: 2025-11-28
Description
Soybean trading resumes today, with futures up five to seven cents due to pre-holiday buying, increasing open interest for March to July contracts. Cash beans rose six and three-quarter cents to $10.59¾, while soymeal and soy oil futures showed mixed performance. China bought ten to fifteen additional US soybean cargoes but suspended exports from five exporters due to Brazilian soybeans mixed with pesticides. USDAs Export Sales data for the week ending October sixteenth is eagerly awaited, with expectations of six to two million metric tons of soybean sales. Agroconsult estimates the 2025-2026 soybean crop at 178.1 million metric tons, a six-million-metric-ton increase from last year.
