This month we’re excited to showcase Dischetto, our guest at this Saturday’s Subdrive party, resident of NYC’s Webster Hall Saturdays: GOTHAM, and @nesthq ’s resident head of techno. Her artist name, Dischetto, is a portmanteau of ‘dischetto’ and ‘tech’, resulting in the name: Dischetto-tech (pronounced: dis-ketto-tek), an homage to techno’s early roots in Detroit and Chicago ghetto-tech.

With strong roots in and inspiration from classic electronica a la Kraftwerk, Nitzer Ebb, Depeche Mode, and Dopplereffekt, she specializes in all things electro, techno, and EBM. Her skills as a selector and curator have seen her play gigs from LA, NYC, Holy Ship in Miami as well as playing alongside names such as Boys Noize, Zombie Nation, Mija, Tchami, Moon Boots, and Bixel Boys.

Her Subdrive podcast showcases her range in taste and style from straight banging techno, funky house, wobbly acid basslines, and more.
