Description
TRIGGER WARNING.
Please feel free to pause or stop listening if you feel uncomfortable or re-experiencing trauma and come back when is the right time for you to continue. BE safe.
In today's episode I speak to my friend Ginger about her painful childhood abuse experience at the age of 4 and what impact abuse in such an early age has on her life till today.
We talk about her courage to speak up and coming up on this episode as well as many other parts of her life, including self -harming as a way of crying for help, self image built upon early experiences. We talk about difference between physical and emotional abuse, reactions from the environment and family, judgments and assumptions.
We stress that abuse involves both men and women and we talk about what shift in mindset needs to happen for one to say enough is enough. We also cover how families can live through generational traumatic abuse experiences again and again.
We share and we want to let you know that you're not alone. We want to let you now that people care and you don't need to suffer alone.
I need to say huge thanks for the trust Ginger had in me sharing her story.
If you have a question or message for Ginger please email me to womenuppodcast@gmail.com and I'll make sure she gets your message.
