Pre-interview Happy Things: I finished my costume for DragonCon. Awhile ago I interviewed Cheyenne Wright, the colorist for the Girl Genius series. Fun, nice guy.

Also, I went out with Henry and watched the height of the annual Perseid meteor shower and saw my first “shooting stars” in real life. Very nice. We’re also going to observe the lunar eclipse later this month.

This week (well, back at Wondercon), I talk with Lene Taylor of the I Read Comics podcast at http://ireadcomics.blogspot.com/

Comics: Adult Space? Everybody Space? Child Space? And we got a little derailed about loss of diversity of book types, female reader issues, and characters mattering personally in modern mainstream comics.

Then the recorder got sporadically clicky… ok, I accidentally pressed the volume bar occasionally, and it clicks… sorry. I edited it out as best I was able. And then we talked about titles we would recommend by genre (Happy Things!) and back to the question of Adult/Child/Everyone Spaces.
