Tales from the Tavern - Hulburg - Forgotten Realms Lore and History
Update: 2018-05-21
Description
I meet a moonsea trader at an inn in Phlan, I started to ask about the best way to Hulburg, but he sorta took off on a rant after that.
I eventually got a ride to Hulburg, but with no help from this guy.
-----
Hulburg would be a dot on a map if not for the trilogy of books by Richard Baker. If Faerun History was pitching Audible subs, this would be our suggestion for the week.
Swordmage, Corsair, and Avenger is one of my favorite forgotten realms books and should be read/listened to by any fans of the realms.
Today we tackle the city where most of the books take place and be warned, some minor spoilers for the book series, but you will most likely get more spoiled if you read the book cover and look at the art.
----
Faerun History makes videos for DM’s and Players who wish to know more about the Forgotten Realms Lore. Each video we tackle a subject that is meant to expand your connection to the realms and make it feel more alive.
Today's topic borrows heavily from the Blades of the Moonsea novels, as well as TSR 9474 The Moonsea, and The Grand History of the Realms.
Some information is assumptions (such as the current state of Hulburg), and the timeline has some contradictory statements, but it is presented as best as you would get from a traveling merchant.
