Seventeen-year-old Anna Gabrielle Geneblazo witnessed a live open-heart surgery, part of Providences ProvReady program, which allows students to observe surgeries remotely. The aortic valve replacement procedure, performed by Doctor Gary Ott, was broadcasted to Providence hospitals nationwide. Anna found the experience eye-opening, particularly the initial chest opening. ProvReady, launched in 2017, offers interactive learning opportunities, encouraging students to consider healthcare careers.
