On this episode, needless to say, Melanie and I are gonna talk all about Texas A&M's recent wins at their super regional, and we're gonna talk all about the fact that the Aggies,
00:00:34
as well as Melanie and Caroline are headed to Omaha this weekend.
00:00:39
So much fun stuff there.

- Hey, everybody, this is Sophie, this is Big Mama.
00:01:29
- Hey, everybody, this is Melanie, it's Big Mama.
00:01:32
- Well, it turns out that the plastic baby Jesus came through for Melanie and the Aggies this past weekend.
00:01:40
- Listen, won't, won't you do it?
00:01:43
Won't little Jesus do it and he did it.
00:01:46
And I'm going to tell you that y'all, I don't mean for this to turn into an Aggie baseball podcast, but for the foreseeable future.
00:01:54
I'm just going to say, if I have watched Kaden Kinsk Grand Slam once, I have watched it 4700 times.
00:02:02
Anytime from here, this fourth in my life, if I'm having a bad day, what I'm going to do is be like, you know what I'm going to pull up?
00:02:09
Watch Kaden Kinsk Grand Slam.
00:02:11
It was one of my top five Aggie sports moments ever.
00:02:15
- Oh, ever.
00:02:16
- No, go out, like, as you know, Melanie, I texted you at the beginning of the seventh inning when the bassist got bledered and said I was going to believe the Lord for a Grand Slam.
00:02:25
- Yes, yes.
00:02:26
- And we're going to talk more about that whole series of events in the seventh inning in a little bit.
00:02:33
But Alex had moved back to his room when Kaden Kint was at the play and Kaden Kint had an incredible at bat,
00:02:44
like, he really did.
00:02:46
But, but all of a sudden, apparently, I said, there it is, like, real loud, like real loud.
00:02:53
But I went back and watched it later and it reminded me so much of when state was in the Super Regionals, like it's Stanford, about four or five years ago,
00:03:04
five years ago, maybe.
00:03:05
And Elijah McNamy, in his last game at Deely Noble, and he had been such a spark plug for our teams and he went up and anyway, he hit a home run and the sound of that crowd was the sound of the crowd at Olsen Field when Kaden Kint had that home run.
00:03:23
And I thought that is just one of those magical moments.
00:03:27
- Oh.
00:03:28
- And what I loved was the announcers who had taken a little bit of issue with earlier in the game.
00:03:34
- Yeah.
00:03:35
- But they let the moment happen.
00:03:37
They announced the grand slam and then they were quiet and they let the crowd tell the story.
00:03:42
And I think that's such, maybe a difficult thing to do, but it's such an effective thing to do in that kind of moment.
00:03:48
It's fantastic.
00:03:49
- Yeah, yeah.
00:03:50
It was, it was as loud as Olsen, like, pre-grand slam.
00:03:55
It was already so loud because at that point, I think they'd walked home, what, two or three runs for us.
00:04:01
And so you could just feel everybody, like was just getting more and more amped up.
00:04:05
And we knew that that pitcher, God bless him, was just, is wrecked, is a pitcher can be.
00:04:12
And so it fed the frenzy, like it fed the frenzy.
00:04:15
And it was like everybody was just louder and louder.
00:04:18
I mean, it felt like, I mean, it wasn't, but we said later, like it was the equivalent of what an Aggie football game feels like in terms of the way everybody was yelling.
00:04:26
Like it was so beyond what a normal baseball game is.
00:04:30
And everybody was on their feet.
00:04:31
And I'm gonna tell you that then the guys in the dugout, like Jayce Lavelette, like he looked at the crowd and he started doing his arms.
00:04:37
And I was like, oh, it's on now.
00:04:39
Like it, I can't even tell you, it was just electric.
00:04:43
And I'm gonna tell you that grand slam got hit.
00:04:45
And I think every man's shirt in Olsen field came off.
00:04:48
You've never seen so many shirtless people.
00:04:51
- Well, all out in Aggie alley back there, everybody's shirt came off.
00:04:56
Anytime they cut, they cut back there for a shot, the whole rest of the game, it was just a state of shirtless people.
00:05:04
But yeah, as an ethnicity state person, you know, I appreciate that.
00:05:07
I mean, that's a, yeah, that's a fun way to express yourself.
00:05:11
I feel like in light of the circumstances.
00:05:14
But it was, it was just, it was magical.
00:05:17
It was magical to watch.
00:05:19
It was, it was magical.
00:05:21
Just to see like that seventh inning was just, it was so gritty.
00:05:27
It was so, so full of patience.
00:05:31
Wait, listen, y'all were a little bit of a mess.
00:05:34
The first four innings of that game.
00:05:36
Like, oh, those first three innings, I was like, what is happening?
00:05:39
Like this is not our team.
00:05:41
We're not playing like ourselves.
00:05:42
It was like we were in our heads.
00:05:44
When Shane Sadeo went out, like first year, like, okay, so in these two games, now we've lost our starting picture within the first inning, you know?
00:05:51
I was like, this just feels like everything could go wrong.
00:05:54
But I will say that even with those first three innings going so bad and we got behind, there's something about this team where I was like, I think we're gonna be okay.
00:06:04
Like, I was like, I think we're gonna be okay.
00:06:06
And then you start to get into the later innings and you're like, we're kinda running out of time to be okay.
00:06:10
(laughs)
00:06:11
But yeah, you know, like the, the Python is squeezing a little bit tighter.
00:06:17
But I just, I felt like if we could wait out, 'cause I felt like after Saturday's game, I was like, I felt confident at some point Oregon's pitching was going to poop out.
00:06:27
I felt like they were gonna be done.
00:06:28
And so I thought when they're pitching bottoms out, they don't have a whole lot left.
00:06:33
And so I thought that'll be our chance.
00:06:35
So I kind of felt like in the later innings, but nothing prepared me for that seventh inning.
00:06:39
- So if you didn't watch the game, here's what happened in a very brief synopsis.
00:06:46
So I don't remember the pitcher's line for Oregon.
00:06:48
He had blonde hair.
00:06:50
God love him.
00:06:50
I really felt for him.
00:06:53
Because, and I feel like the seventh inning is so often a time when a game can turn because of the pitching changes usually.
00:07:01
- Yeah.
00:07:02
- And so he gets in there.
00:07:04
And I honestly, like, when I tell you he was sweating, like, like, I can't, like his arms were like, just covered in sweat.
00:07:14
And I really thought it first when he started walking people.
00:07:17
I was like, can he not grab the ball?
00:07:19
Like, you know what I mean?
00:07:20
Like is it effective in this grip?
00:07:22
And he would go back and he would get the resin back.
00:07:24
And I was like, oh, because it was like watching somebody, it was like the scene in broadcast news where Aaron Altman feels in and gets the flop sweats.
00:07:32
- Yes.
00:07:33
- It was like that, not like the flop sweats, but just like, you could tell his adrenaline was just like a hamster on a wheel.
00:07:41
And so he, the bases get loaded.
00:07:44
And he starts to walk in runs.
00:07:48
And the organ coach is in such a weird spot because you can't just start pulling people because what they're hoping is that they get a game three with y'all and they still have arms.
00:07:58
So he leaves the guy in and, oh my gosh.
00:08:03
It was just, and you could tell, like, you could just tell that if it went on long enough, somebody was gonna send that ball out of that stadium.
00:08:14
- Uh-huh, uh-huh.
00:08:16
- It became, it was almost like watching a game that you knew Oregon wouldn't win.
00:08:22
But like that series of it bats, I can, I'll tell you what, I could go back, you could take the green slam out of it.
00:08:29
And I would watch that 30 minute period of Aggies at bat over and over because of the patience.
00:08:39
Like, you're in your home place, it's gained to, it's the seventh inning.
00:08:46
Every external circumstance could get to you and tell you to rush, to push, like, to swing in anything that comes your way to try to make something happen.
00:08:57
And the, the ability in that situation to lay back and go, now, I mostly have this place out.
00:09:04
Like, it blew my mind and reminded me so much of our nerdy conversation last week about it bats.
00:09:11
- Yes, but like those at bats, my gosh.
00:09:15
- It was, it was masterful, they were so patient.
00:09:18
So this weekend, as you'll know, I was in college station and I got up Sunday morning and I made myself my AG1 like I always do.
00:09:27
And Gully started asking me about it and I said, if I could tell you one thing that I would recommend that everybody do, it's AG1.
00:09:34
I just can't believe how much better it makes me feel, how much better my body seems to function, how much more energy I have.
00:09:41
And I think the thing is, is that taking care of your health can feel so complicated because Gully was like taught me through all your supplements.
00:09:46
And I was like, here's the deal.
00:09:47
Since I've started taking AG1, what I'm basically doing is one scoop of AG1, once a day mixed in my pediatric life or I put it in a protein shake or a smoothie, once a day every day and it makes me feel so much more energized,
00:09:59
clear, ready to start my day.
00:10:01
I never want to be without it.
00:10:03
I was taking all those supplements, y'all know.
00:10:05
I had all those different pills that I was trying to keep up with and taking and it just got expensive.
00:10:10
And now I know that I can drink my AG1, first thing every morning.
00:10:13
I'm covering my nutritional bases to start the day.
00:10:16
And what I've realized is, and from studies at AG1 has done, 91% of people notice that they needed less coffee after 60 days of drinking AG1.
00:10:25
And 97% of people in a research study felt more energy after 30 days of drinking AG1.
00:10:31
It really does make a difference.
00:10:33
Not to mention the gut support, which is such a key factor in supporting your immune system.
00:10:37
And did you know that 70% of your immune system lives in your gut?
00:10:41
AG1 has been shown to double the amount of healthy bacteria in your gut.
00:10:45
Gut diversity is important when it supports the health of the gut.
00:10:48
It's a wide range of vitamins, minerals, superfood source ingredients.
00:10:51
I cannot recommend it enough.
00:10:53
It is the one product that I trust to support my whole body health more than anything else.
00:10:57
And that's why we partner with them for so long.
00:11:00
It's easy and it's satisfying to start your journey with AG1.
00:11:03
Try AG1 and get a free one-year supply of vitamin D3 and K2.
00:11:07
And five free AG1 travel packs with your first purchase at drinkag1.com/bigboo.
00:11:13
That's drinkag1.com/bigboo.
00:11:16
Check it out.
00:11:17
So our first game was Saturday.
00:11:21
It was Saturday at 1.
00:11:23
I got up at 6.45 Saturday morning.
00:11:26
You know what I'll get up for the crack it on for?
00:11:28
I keep baseball.
00:11:29
That's about it.
00:11:30
6.45 got a drove to college station.
00:11:34
We got drove straight to the game because big and Gellie and John and the boys, they were all going to go out and tailgate.
00:11:40
So they're like, we're going to start tailgating.
00:11:41
Gellie was like, we're leaving Honey's House at 9.45.
00:11:44
The game wasn't until 1.
00:11:46
So I was like, great.
00:11:48
So I get there probably about right at 11.
00:11:51
And we walk up.
00:11:52
We start tailgating.
00:11:53
We're having so much fun.
00:11:54
So we're just like right there at Olsen.
00:11:55
There's like a long sidewalk.
00:11:57
And so it's like people pull up.
00:11:58
And if you can get a spot in that lot, then people are tailgating.
00:12:02
Well, then I looked up and I saw my friend Sharon, who's Jackson Appell's mom, was down there.
00:12:07
And she was tailgating with some other parents.
00:12:08
So I ended up, I got to meet Hayden Schatzmom and I got to meet Evan Oshenbach's mom.
00:12:12
And they were also lovely.
00:12:14
And listen, we passed out baby Jesus to everybody.
00:12:17
I think by the time it was over, I think Hayden's mom had two Jesuses in her bag.
00:12:21
We had multiple Jesuses.
00:12:22
We met my friend Beth came over to tailgate with us.
00:12:24
Laura and Lindsay are friends.
00:12:26
Our other friends came over.
00:12:27
They tailgated.
00:12:29
There was Jesus all around is what I'm going to tell you.
00:12:33
Everybody had 'em.
00:12:34
Amen.
00:12:34
And so it was, I respected.
00:12:37
I really knew.
00:12:38
I love it so much.
00:12:39
I love it so much.
00:12:41
Yeah.
00:12:42
And it just felt like, and we were like, and then Beth's son, she made him take one.
00:12:45
She was like, we need baby Jesus in the dugout.
00:12:47
And since he's a trainer, he had a Jesus.
00:12:50
So it was a whole thing.
00:12:52
We get in our seats.
00:12:53
We're passing them out.
00:12:54
The whole deal.
00:12:54
Well, then, in that first inning, number one, their first hit is like a two run homerun that organ.
00:13:01
So we're down to, then Braden Montgomery breaks his leg.
00:13:05
Yeah.
00:13:05
Oh, God.
00:13:06
That third base.
00:13:07
And it, I'm going to tell you, you want to talk about a moment that all the air is sucked out of a stadium.
00:13:13
Just because, like, he has come in.
00:13:15
Y'all, he transferred from Stanford last year.
00:13:17
This is his last year to play college baseball.
00:13:19
And coach law said this about him.
00:13:21
But like, he could have just come.
00:13:23
And it's like, hey, this is here to serve my purposes.
00:13:26
And I'm going to be here, play whatever.
00:13:28
But like, he is so bought in to be in an Aggie.
00:13:30
And by all accounts, everybody just adores him.
00:13:33
And he's just been such an incredible player for us all season.
00:13:37
And so to see him go down-- and it was one of those that you knew immediately by everything that was going on.
00:13:42
You were like, oh, this isn't like he just tweaked something.
00:13:45
Like, it just felt sitting.
00:13:47
And so then, so we're down to nothing.
00:13:50
And I'm like, what happens if we decide that baby Jesus really isn't the thing that is going to break us?
00:13:58
How do you-- Yes.
00:14:01
How do you remove Jesus from your purse?
00:14:04
How do you-- Right.
00:14:06
How do we enring this bail?
00:14:07
Yeah.
00:14:08
Yes.
00:14:09
I'm like, this feels real dicing if we can't come back.
00:14:12
Because a lot of bad things have just happened.
00:14:15
But we came back.
00:14:16
We ended up within that game.
00:14:18
It was great.
00:14:19
But then to see, so when Kaden Kint came in, he's a guy that-- I mean, he's been in the starting lineup every now and then or we'll put him in.
00:14:26
We'll pull him in.
00:14:28
And so we'll put him in.
00:14:28
And I've always felt like I really like Kaden Kint.
00:14:31
Because I feel like time and time again in the season.
00:14:34
When we're kind of struggling, it's like he comes in, and he's a spark.
00:14:37
Like, he just does something.
00:14:39
He gets a base hit.
00:14:40
He gets an RBI.
00:14:41
He does something.
00:14:42
And he's coming in, by the way, because Braden Montgomery is hard.
00:14:45
Exactly.
00:14:46
Yeah.
00:14:46
So what's happened is-- so he hasn't been a starter.
00:14:50
But what happened is, is because Braden Montgomery is a right field, or so we moved Jace over.
00:14:55
And then you put Kaden Kint in.
00:14:57
And so that's why Kaden was in.
00:14:58
Because Braden was hard.
00:15:00
And we changed up our lineup for that game too, because we put Jackson, Appellas, our lead off batter.
00:15:05
I think Jace is still our-- than Gavin and Jace.
00:15:07
And so anyway, but you've put Kaden Kint in.
00:15:10
So when I looked at-- when you texted and said, Lord, will you give us a grand slam?
00:15:15
And I looked at Gellie, and I said, I so-- like, right after that, I said, if Kaden Kint hits a grand slam here, I'm going to lose my mind.
00:15:22
I just so want this to happen.
00:15:23
I told Caroline and Gellie, and then two pitches later.
00:15:27
And I mean, so we just lost our mind.
00:15:30
But to see a kid who has been so dedicated and worked so hard and to see how happy his teammates were for him and for him to get that moment, it was just like, well, this is everything you love about college sports.
00:15:40
This is amazing.
00:15:41
I thought he was going to legit when he got back to the dugout.
00:15:44
I thought, he's just going to start taking pieces of the wall down.
00:15:46
He was never seen anybody that fired up, still in the dugout.
00:15:51
You know, he did the whole slam.
00:15:53
Oh, yeah.
00:15:53
Basketball thing.
00:15:54
And then I was like, well, he's going to have to take some of that off the wall.
00:15:57
Like, how do you get the energy-- adrenaline, like, how do you get out of your system?
00:16:05
And I did see, I think it was a post game interview.
00:16:09
I think we're coached all said that, of course, that Kaden Kint had been frustrated because he hadn't gotten to start or whatever.
00:16:18
But that he had never quit work and had been, you know, sure to let him know every time he hit a ball out of the park during practice and all that.
00:16:26
Yes, that's just a story back moment.
00:16:28
It's just-- and I mean, like, after that, there was no doubt.
00:16:32
Like, at the end of that inning, I was like, OK, Aggies need six more outs and it's wrapped up.
00:16:36
Yeah, like, it's just-- Yeah, I felt pretty confident at that point.
00:16:39
I was like, I just don't think there's any coming back.
00:16:41
And at that point, then we put Evan Aushenback, which I'd also have to mention that Chris Cortez came in on Saturday's game.
00:16:48
And he's normally one of our relief pitchers.
00:16:50
And he came in when Prager went out, just because-- Prager just-- he had a ref outing.
00:16:55
And like, Chris Cortez came in and you want to talk about, like, grown man stuff.
00:17:00
He just shut it down.
00:17:01
Like, they were showing-- I was like, well, that was 101 miles an hour.
00:17:04
Like, he just-- so anyway, it was magical.
00:17:08
The bubbles were flying.
00:17:09
Jesus was there.
00:17:10
I will say that I think about the fourth thing in that game.
00:17:12
I did break off the hands and feet of my Jesus because I was holding him so hard.
00:17:19
It's OK.
00:17:21
They popped off.
00:17:22
It's OK.
00:17:22
He can handle it.
00:17:23
Well, it's officially summer, which means that we probably have more social events.
00:17:30
We maybe have some weddings to attend.
00:17:32

00:19:03
- Now I did have.
00:19:07
My friend Amy, who's also one of my Pilates instructors, asked me the last week, right before Pilates, she said, "I want you to ask Melanie and I said, "Okay."
00:19:14
And she said, "How did they handle all the bubbles?"
00:19:18
She said, "I just feel like the bubbles get on things."
00:19:20
Like, "How did I manage the bubbles?"
00:19:23
And I said, "I don't know how do I manage the bubbles."
00:19:26
Especially in this day and age of essentially, like these big, huge, gigantic pump out of million bubbles, bubble guns.
00:19:35
- Oh yeah.
00:19:36
- You know?
00:19:36
- Yeah.
00:19:37
And that's what you've got going.
00:19:38
I mean, everybody's got like the major bubble guns.
00:19:40
I will say, I guess because of the air and the way it goes, like they really don't land on stuff.
00:19:45
- Okay.
00:19:46
- Because somebody asked, like I had a couple of people, they were like, "Does it make everything sticky?"
00:19:49
Like do you get bubbles all over you?
00:19:51
But you don't, like I think the air carries them.
00:19:53
- Okay.
00:19:54
- And so they just kind of tend to drift and pop in the air and it's really not a problem.
00:19:58
- Jesus is saying.
00:19:58
- Even in the bubbles is what you're telling us.
00:20:00
- Even in the bubbles.
00:20:01
- Olsen magic is that it disperses the bubbles so it creates because I love the way, like when I took that video at the end and people hung the signs that were like, "Aggies are almost good in the bubbles."
00:20:11
I was like, "I love the aesthetic that the bubbles give."
00:20:14
- Yeah.
00:20:14
- I know that that's not, but it's just, it's so fun.
00:20:16
- It's good.
00:20:17
It's good.
00:20:18
I didn't think about Gully when Kaden can't hit that green slam because I thought about her saying to the long horn at the regionals about, you know, there's your Olsen magic at that phrase.
00:20:29
That came to mind as I was watching that play out.
00:20:32
So there's your Olsen magic.
00:20:35
Yep, there it is.
00:20:36
There it is.
00:20:37
- Several people messaged me after the game and said, "Oh, I can't wait.
00:20:43
I bet Melanie is trying to get Steph worked out for Omaha right now and I reply."
00:20:48
- Yeah.
00:20:49
- What you don't know is that Melanie had her hotel reservations two months ago.
00:20:54
- Yeah, I did.
00:20:55
- Which I respect.
00:20:56
I mean, I really, I do, indeed, respect it.
00:21:00
So you're going to go with this.
00:21:02
- Oh, yeah, we're going, yeah, we're going this weekend.
00:21:05
Listen, I didn't want to speak of it because I feel like there's a whole, it was funny because even the parents, like I was talking to some of them before the game on Saturday and Caroline ended up meeting Jameson,
00:21:16
who is Jackson's sister, who goes to Auburn, who knows Ellen Ashby.
00:21:19
And so we made that little small world connection.
00:21:21
- Our friend Clarence Raymate, yes.
00:21:23
- So they were like, "Oh, we'll see each other."
00:21:25
But it was kind of that whole thing of like everybody was like, what we want to say is we're going to see you in Omaha, but we really don't want to speak it.
00:21:31
So we're just going to be like, "Hey, we'll see you later."
00:21:34
You know, like, well, we'll see what happens.
00:21:36
You know?
00:21:37
- Down the road.
00:21:37
- Yeah, at some point.
00:21:39
So maybe in Nebraska, we'll see.
00:21:42
No, I had made my hotel reservations.
00:21:44
In fact, when I got home yesterday, I was like, 'cause I knew everything that I had made was cancelable until the 11th.
00:21:51
So I was like, okay, so I've got to wait and see.
00:21:53
But then I was like, I booked everything kind of just on this wing in a prayer.
00:21:57
So I was like, oh, I need to go back and like, double check and see what my plans really are.
00:22:01
And what days I booked and all that.
00:22:03
So as of now, Caroline and I are flying out.
00:22:05
The Aggies don't play till six o'clock on Saturday.
00:22:09
We're going to get in late Friday night.
00:22:11
I was going to change us to Saturday morning, but we both agreed that we hate a super early morning flight.
00:22:15
- Totally agree.
00:22:16
- So if they're going to be in you wake up in your van.
00:22:19
- That's it.
00:22:20
And I was like, well, wake up, we'll get there.
00:22:21
And then we're not stressed about, oh my gosh, we've got to get in the game starting, like if we're delayed or whatever.
00:22:26
So our first game is against the Florida Gators, which I feel like it's going to be a challenge, because you know, they have Jack with no K.
00:22:33
- He needs no K and he's in no need of a K.
00:22:37
- He does not need a K.
00:22:38
And so anyway, so we are getting in.
00:22:41
And so at this point, we're staying on the front end, but I will say that our return flight is open to be changed.
00:22:48
(laughing)
00:22:49
That's what you're telling me is you may be, you may be doordashed in a microphone next week.
00:22:59
So we can record this podcast.
00:23:02
- I'm just saying, we might, we might.
00:23:04
We're going to see what happens.
00:23:05
I left it kind of open ended.
00:23:07
I'm like, we'll see what happens because there's this whole thing of, because then you have essentially like two days, like if you were to make it to the end, you've got two days of no baseball.
00:23:17
And so then you get into like, do you come back home and go back?
00:23:23
But yeah, it's very complicated.
00:23:25
What I wish is that Omaha was only two hours away.
00:23:28
That would make everything a lot easier.
00:23:29
- Yeah, I mean, you know, we went and watched our first two games and then, and then came home.
00:23:35
And then we played, we had to, we had to play Texas twice, I think.
00:23:43
Anyway, as it turned out, yeah, because we were driving, it was just, it was a long time to stay before the championship series started.
00:23:51
And I did have friends who flew home and then flew back.
00:23:55
But because we had driven, when I found they got home, I was like, oh yeah, I'm not going back.
00:24:00
Yeah, and I had driven 13, 14 hours.
00:24:02
And that was, that was plenty.
00:24:04
So I think that maybe the better strategy is to stay put.
00:24:08
All that to say, just stay put.
00:24:10
- So anyway, we'll see what happens.
00:24:11
We'll just, we'll see what happens.
00:24:12
But little Jesus will be there.
00:24:15
So my friend Beth has already ordered.
00:24:16
She texted this morning said, I've already ordered 100 more little Jesuses.
00:24:20
We think that's enough.
00:24:20
I said, I'll order 102, just 'cause we have to check in.
00:24:24
We got real tickled 'cause there were these two Aggies that were like, class like 2006, 2007, two guys that were sitting next to Caroline at the game.
00:24:32
And they had their Jesuses.
00:24:34
And then they both asked if they could follow her on Instagram, 'cause they said, 'cause she told them we were going to Omaha.
00:24:38
And they said, we would like to follow Jesus in Omaha.
00:24:40
(laughing)
00:24:41
Like we want to see in there.
00:24:43
And so everybody felt real invested.
00:24:45
- Caroline's home right now.
00:24:48
And so today after we worked out, we went to the grocery store and it was so hot and getting our groceries out of the car.
00:24:55
I was like, why do we do this?
00:24:56

00:26:24
- Have you gotten your ticket checked for the first game?
00:26:30
- No, because what I have heard, everybody has said, wait until you get there.
00:26:34
And so, wait until you get there and then get 'em.
00:26:38
So I'm waiting.
00:26:39
My friend Beth is kind of, I put her in charge of like, hey, let me know, but I feel like so many people texted and said, hey, don't get suckered into buying tickets yet.
00:26:47
Wait until closer to time.
00:26:48
So that's right, I guess we'll see.
00:26:51
What do you think?
00:26:52
Please advise.
00:26:52
- I think that's fine.
00:26:54
Now, I bought tickets for the first game while I was still here, but here's what I'm gonna tell you.
00:26:59
I don't know which side the Aggies you're gonna be young, but if you're being it not and I know you just endure heat and sun and all the things in college sessions.
00:27:08
But my personal opinion is that the first base side and the right field side gets more shade in the late afternoon games.
00:27:18
Like it was, we were never hot, ever in Omaha.
00:27:21
- Okay, that's good to know, 'cause I feel like everybody's been talking about how hot it's gonna be.
00:27:26
- It's real hot, I think if you're in the, if you don't have access to shade.
00:27:31
- Okay.
00:27:32
- I think it was hot for the people who were on the third base side, for sure.
00:27:37
- But on that first base side, late in the day, it was super pleasant.
00:27:43
Now, okay, but again, it's because we had shade.
00:27:47
I would not sit in that outfilled area.
00:27:49
I would get where I would have a cover over you.
00:27:53
- But you won't have trouble getting tickets because he can start losing and people who bought tickets 'cause I thought their team was gonna make it.
00:28:01
So sorry, Arkansas, like they'll be selling their tickets.
00:28:04
So anyway, I'm so excited.
00:28:08
I'm just, I'm so tickled, I'm just, I'm thrilled for y'all.
00:28:13
I'm thrilled for you and Caroline to get tickets here.
00:28:17
- Thank you.
00:28:18
- I'm a haw, I just, what, it's just, it's so exciting.
00:28:21
I mean, I really, I was sitting there and I thought, I'm gonna fly and meet him.
00:28:25
And then I thought, oh, I thought, that's weird.
00:28:27
That's not your thing.
00:28:28
- No, I would love it.
00:28:30
- I'd say, come on, I'd say, come on.
00:28:32
- It's not my thing, it's weird.
00:28:33
- I know.
00:28:34
- But it's just because we loved it so much and I wanna watch y'all love it.
00:28:38
But I'm gonna, I'm gonna, but I'm gonna enjoy hearing about y'all loving it.
00:28:43
So it's fantastic.
00:28:44
- Yeah, I'm just, yeah.
00:28:46
- Just the best experience.
00:28:47
So I'm so happy that y'all are gonna get to do it.
00:28:50
- Well, we're super excited.
00:28:51
And how about Hayden shot, hitting that team run Homer.
00:28:54
- Listen, hitting the two run Homer, I was so happy for him and I didn't know that he was playing with like a knee brace.
00:29:00
He's, he's been hard and so I didn't know that until after the game.
00:29:04
So I'm like, listen, I just appreciate the grit.
00:29:07
I appreciate everybody hanging in.
00:29:09
I just, listen, I love this team.
00:29:11
This team just has something special.
00:29:13
There are just certain teams where you're like, they've just got it.
00:29:15
Whatever it is.
00:29:16
- They gave, and I noticed this, and I have one more thing I'm gonna say about the game after this.
00:29:21
- Yeah.
00:29:21
- They didn't know how, after they won.
00:29:24
- No.
00:29:25
- And I felt like that was a statement.
00:29:27
Because, you know, those teams, Doc Paul, it's super regionals.
00:29:29
I felt like they were made a statement when they didn't.
00:29:31
- Yep.
00:29:32
- And saving it, perhaps.
00:29:35
- Yeah.
00:29:36
- And I wanna talk for a second about the assortment of Aggies who were behind home play when you're watching else games on television.
00:29:44
(laughing)
00:29:45
- And it's not just me.
00:29:48
Because I mentioned it on Instagram, and you wouldn't believe the people who said, oh, they're watching the same thing and have been selling their time.
00:29:56
(laughing)
00:29:57
First of all, if you asked me, if you said, who sits behind home play at state games?
00:30:03
I'd say a bunch of dads.
00:30:06
- Like, yeah, yeah.
00:30:06
- Just a bunch of dads, a bunch of guys are age, like a bunch of guys, maybe some a little older, some a little younger, some women, but mostly just a bunch of dads back there.
00:30:16
- Yeah.
00:30:17
- And I have sodium setups a little different because there's a lounge back behind those seats.
00:30:22
So people go down and get food and drinks, and all that, and they'll come out and they'll stand for a while, and they'll leave, you know.
00:30:27
- Uh-huh, uh-huh.
00:30:28
- Whereas y'all have the same people, usually in the same seats game after game, after game.
00:30:33
And listen, I do not know who these three individuals are.
00:30:37
Who are, if you're looking right at home play on television, who are directly to the left?
00:30:41
They're, there's, I'm assuming it's a husband and wife, and their daughter, their granddaughter, is sitting in between them.
00:30:48
Yes, but that woman, if we could find her, I want her to come on the podcast, because let me tell you something.
00:30:56
She brings me so much joy, hold on.
00:31:00
- Hey, I'm recording.
00:31:01
- Okay.
00:31:02
- Okay.
00:31:03
- Um, she brings me so much joy, and she showed up for that second organ game, and she had on not one, but two long sleeve shirts.
00:31:10
And, and, and she had those sleeves cuffed, where the bottom shirt was, the marine was over.
00:31:19
I don't know if it was a plant or a pattern, but she had worked that out.
00:31:23
She had her statement necklace, not a hair out of ice.
00:31:27
- Nope.
00:31:28
- And she is perpetually surprised by everything.
00:31:31
Like, she just, all the time, she's just going like, oh, oh, oh, and, (laughs)
00:31:37
it's like when, when I went with Daffy and my sister, when state played in the women's national championship for basketball, and we had my friend Melissa from college, her mom was sitting behind us.
00:31:48
It was like, oh, blire, blire, blire.
00:31:50
- Yeah.
00:31:51
(laughs)
00:31:52
- Remember that?
00:31:53
Oh, blire, you can't do that, blire.
00:31:56
Oh, listen, Morgan, (laughs)
00:32:01
so she, I immediately reminded it that.
00:32:04
But when I tell you, when it was, it was eight, seven, and the stadiums go in crazy.
00:32:15
And she stands up and is cheered, and she starts waving her arms, and she can't remind me of Martha when she's doing this, 'cause it's like she's trying to distract the pitcher.
00:32:24
- Yeah.
00:32:25
- Oh, it was magical.
00:32:27
I was so entertained by what was going on behind the plate, just because if that's where you see it, you can't help but be on television.
00:32:36
- Yeah.
00:32:36
- And if you were going, we're not one but two long-sleeved shirts with a segment necklace, and you're perfectly clothed hair, you know?
00:32:41
- Uh-huh, yeah.
00:32:42
- And then you're going to wave your arms at the pitcher, like, oh, it made me so happy, it was just-- - Well, and she looks so fresh.
00:32:50
- Yeah, I'm gonna say, 'cause when you sent me like, or when I saw the screenshot, I was like, she looks so fresh, and I'm telling you, Saturday's game was hot because it was an afternoon game, but that Sunday night game, we were like, it starts at 6.30,
00:33:00
it won't be bad.
00:33:01
We're gonna be in the shade, whatever, but I'm telling you, the humidity started to ramp up.
00:33:06
It was so humid, I can't even tell you, like, I mean, Caroline and I were both just like, just soaked, like, you just feel like I'm just wet.
00:33:14
Everything is wet.
00:33:15
I mean, just, it was unbelievable, but I will tell you that my friend, Tammy, who used to work in concessions at Olsen and Kyle and all the stuff, she messaged me and said,
00:33:25
please tell Sophie that this is the absolute sweetest lady ever.
00:33:29
And she said the kitchen even one time made them their own mac and cheese because we loved 'em so much.
00:33:34
So they went in with them up some mac and cheese, just so they could have it at the stage.
00:33:39
- I'm not surprised she's the sweetest lady ever.
00:33:41
I am not at all surprised.
00:33:43
- I feel like somebody has to know her.
00:33:46
Like, oh, 100%.
00:33:48
- I feel like somebody has to know her.
00:33:50
And we need to talk to her because you want to talk about the person I want to be when I grow up.
00:33:55
- Yes.
00:33:56
- And then I don't want to wear too long sleeve sharks to a super regional.
00:33:58
But I do steal, want to be somebody who tries to distract a pitcher.
00:34:04
For all of my days, I want to be somebody who tries to distract a pitcher.
00:34:08
You know what I mean?
00:34:09
- Yes, yes, she's in it.
00:34:10
She's in it, she's given 100%.
00:34:12
Yeah, so anyway, so also apparently she's sweet and she likes mac and cheese.
00:34:16
- Those are the things that we know.
00:34:18
- So happy.
00:34:18
- I would love to know your story.
00:34:20
(upbeat music)
00:34:23
- If you are the one friend in your friend group that loves to treat yourself, you know that I believe in that.
00:34:28
I believe in the power of getting a pedicure and getting an extra 10 minute foot massage.
00:34:32
I don't like to make coffee at home all the time because sometimes I like fancy coffee.
00:34:37
Sometimes I buy double of something at a sale because it feels like I'm actually saving money.

00:35:44
- Okay, so I didn't, I did not watch baseball this weekend to the point that I like dealt with a ramped up sense of anxiety and dread like I did last weekend.
00:35:59
Last weekend I really think I thought this is out of control, my nerves are shot.
00:36:05
It's a lot easier when your team is living longer in it in terms of the nerves and all that kind of stuff.
00:36:10
So I did watch baseball for sure, like the, oh my gosh, the Clemson Flood again.
00:36:13
- Oh, the Clemson Flood again.
00:36:15
- Oh my gosh, that thing too.
00:36:16
- Oh my gosh, that thing too.
00:36:17
- 13 innings.
00:36:19
It was one of those things like, you just, I thought they were just, they're going to have to start a line on each side of each dugout for pictures to come in.
00:36:27
- Yeah, honestly.
00:36:27
- Like if you don't like to pitch today for the Flood again, or just line up for them to dugout.
00:36:31
- Line up.
00:36:32
- Yeah.
00:36:33
- Because that will ever run out of people.
00:36:34
- It will forever and so on and the most.
00:36:37
- And had a fight and had a bitch clear in fight which I haven't seen in a long time.
00:36:43
- Let me take something, let me take something about that.
00:36:45
You know how I feel?
00:36:46
I feel like I feel like our, the baseball officials have really done the most this season in terms of, you know, they've had a lot of feelings about bat flips, they've had a lot of feelings about how we run around the bases.
00:36:57
They've had a lot of feelings about all that kind of stuff.
00:37:00
- I'm just gonna say this.
00:37:01
- I think that the Florida player are friend Jack with FK.
00:37:07
- Yes.
00:37:08
- And make them simpler.
00:37:08
There was mutual shoving, right?
00:37:10
- I agree.
00:37:11
- A mutual shoving.
00:37:12
- So just say, hey, simmer down and let 'em guess.
00:37:16
- And let everybody guess.
00:37:17
- Yes.
00:37:17
- And turns into this big thing and we were, so they got a consult at NCAA and the answers are, don't know what's going on.
00:37:22
And it just, go, it was so frustrating.
00:37:25
- Oh, that game and that's one where it's like you hate to see anybody lose and then we were all debating 'cause we knew whoever made it, that was who we were gonna play first.
00:37:32
- Right.
00:37:33
- And so we had this whole debate of would we rather play Florida or Clemson?
00:37:35
- Yeah.
00:37:36
- And I still don't know the answer, but it turns out it's Florida.
00:37:40
- Yeah.
00:37:40
- So.
00:37:41
- Yeah.
00:37:42
Well, I watched all of that game and of course, I watched y'all play and I watched Kentucky play.
00:37:47
Like, I had baseball on all weekend, but I also read.
00:37:51
- Okay.
00:37:51
- Why'd you read?
00:37:52
- It's a much, much more relaxing way to move through some of the McDonald's.
00:37:57
As I passed to what I had going on last weekend was just the internal panic and some sense of foreboding.
00:38:04
So I read two books and I loved them both for different reasons.
00:38:10
The first book I read, I think Gully has read this book was remarkably bright creatures which so many people have recommended to me and I just not read it yet.
00:38:20
And it was not what I expected and I really loved it.
00:38:23
I thought it was.
00:38:24
- Okay.
00:38:25
- Just, it was delightful.
00:38:27
And then I read a book called A Thriller that I'd seen somebody recommend on TikTok called Look Closer.
00:38:34
And it's my mom would say it's a little coarse in places.
00:38:38
- Okay.
00:38:39
- Just language and some of the situations, but it's a thriller and I found it to be very interesting.
00:38:47
That's what I read on Sunday when I was watching baseball.
00:38:50
And then, I started Sunday night.
00:38:54
I started our book club book for our really fancy book.
00:38:58
I started the leafinger book called A Cheerfully Refuse.
00:39:01
I'm gonna tell you something.
00:39:02
It is not the kind of leafy, if I didn't have any idea what this book was about, I just think leafinger had written something and I'd heard not talk about it on the podcast 'cause he green-lit it.
00:39:12
- Okay.
00:39:14
- But I don't tell you what, you talk about something that has gotten in my head and I can't quit thinking about it.
00:39:21
And like, I had 20 minutes.
00:39:22
Maybe I had finished some stuff and I was gonna be on the thing to record with you and I was like, "That's 20 minutes, I can read it."
00:39:29
I am into it.
00:39:31
I have looked at maps.
00:39:33
I have looked up words.
00:39:34
I did not know.
00:39:36
It is beautiful.
00:39:39
And I don't have any idea where it's going.
00:39:41
I don't have any idea what it's about, like in terms of, because it's very, it's not too similar from the Odyssey,
00:39:53
but modern, but also it's sort of post-apocalyptic, but also very real life.
00:40:04
I don't know how to explain it.
00:40:05
I'm gonna really wrestle with that part at regardless of where it's going, but I love it.
00:40:10
It's so beautiful.
00:40:11
- Okay.
00:40:12
- I really love it.
00:40:14
- Oh my God.
00:40:15
- All right.
00:40:16
Well, I'm so glad to know that.
00:40:17
Okay, I still need to order it and so I'm gonna do that.
00:40:20
So I'll be ready for our book club.
00:40:22
- Anyway, so I would say, if you haven't read remarkably bright creatures, I'd recommend that.
00:40:27
If you haven't read the book called Look Closer and you like a thriller, even though it's coarse in some places.
00:40:34
- Yes, yes.
00:40:36
- Work a shot and then this leaf finger book is, it's gonna be one that stays with me for a long time.
00:40:42
I can tell.
00:40:43
- Okay, all right.
00:40:44
Well, I'm excited.
00:40:45
I need to get through.
00:40:46
I'm still reading, I'm now up to, I'm on air of fire, which is the third in the Throne of Glass series.
00:40:55
So I'm, but I'm over halfway done with that.
00:40:57
- Okay.
00:40:58
- So I'm gonna pause in my Throne of Glass journey and read this leaf finger book next.
00:41:02
- Well, Ella has also been reading all the, the Sarah J.
00:41:05
Moss books.
00:41:06
And she's blazing through them.
00:41:09
So.
00:41:10
- Oh, listen, they, I mean, listen, they just, they're so good.
00:41:14
I will say, I really, like it is capturing me now.
00:41:18
Like it has sucked me in.
00:41:20
And so I am invested.
00:41:22
But it's still, it's just, it's hard for me to read about a fairy kingdom, you know?
00:41:27
Like it just, it's just, you know, and they've got these something like Wyverns, which I guess are like maybe dragons.
00:41:33
Like maybe, I don't know, but there's that.
00:41:36
It's just, it's, it have to have some suspension in this place.
00:41:41
But it's, you know, it's all good.
00:41:42
So anyway, so that's that.
00:41:45
And then I'm waiting for, because Bridgerton comes out this week.
00:41:50
We've got that to come in.
00:41:51
When then we've got the bear coming later this month.
00:41:54
So I feel like June is like really looking up from a television standpoint.
00:41:59
And, and I'm not mad about it.
00:42:00
- I started watching, this was after, like, I was so keyed at after the baseball game.
00:42:06
And I just needed something like to kind of, to sort of fly, just take me back down so I can sleep.
00:42:13
You know, like I was just, - Yeah.
00:42:16
- So I started watching on Netflix.
00:42:18
And I've seen it pop up, the show called The Gentlemen, the, The A James is in it.
00:42:24
And it's like a garritchy is the creator, maybe the director.
00:42:28
And it's about a family in England.
00:42:31
I don't want to give anything away.
00:42:34
- Okay.
00:42:35
- It's very violent.
00:42:35
It's a, and I don't know what was very violent.
00:42:38
Or I wouldn't have picked it as like my thing to help me wind down after a baseball game.
00:42:41
- Yes, very violent, not for children.
00:42:46
Language is terrible.
00:42:47
But as it turned out, very entertaining.
00:42:50
Like, I mean, you know, like in that kind of vein of like big mobster shitting him against, you know, that kind of thing.
00:42:59
And so, but with British accents, and which makes it a little bit more charming.
00:43:04
- And you finished hacks.
00:43:05
- Oh, I finished hacks last week.
00:43:09
That, we might have to do a Patreon about that.
00:43:11
- We really might have to.
00:43:12
- I think we do.
00:43:13
I think we do.
00:43:14
I think it's Patreon worthy.
00:43:15
God, love that show.
00:43:16
And I still, you and I have not talked about the ending, and we're not going to talk about it here because we don't want to spoil it.
00:43:21
But I do, we're going to need to discuss that.
00:43:24
We're going to discuss it.
00:43:25
- That, that's, yeah.
00:43:27
Since season two of the Banner, season three of hacks is the best season of television I've watched.
00:43:35
- Totally agree.
00:43:36
I totally agree with that.
00:43:37
And it sticks with you.
00:43:38
Like I keep thinking about it.
00:43:40
I keep, yeah, it sticks with you.
00:43:41
- Yeah, I could, I would love to do a Patreon about that.
00:43:45
It's, oh, there's so much now.
00:43:47
There's so much that you're, it's fantastic.
00:43:49
- I agree.
00:43:50
- I agree.
00:43:51
Okay, so now, is it time for five favorites?
00:43:54
(upbeat music)
00:43:56
- It is time for five favorites.
00:43:58
And we're going to kick it off with something you and I texted about last week because I texted you one night and was like, "Hey, you have a countertop spray you like?"
00:44:05
- Yeah.
00:44:06
- 'Cause I looked and I was still using my time's Christmas countertop spray that I love.
00:44:10
- Yeah.
00:44:11
- Which is great.
00:44:12
But I'm going to give you a little bit more time.
00:44:13
And I'm going to give you a little bit more time.
00:44:14
- Yeah.
00:44:15
- I'm going to give you a little bit more time.
00:44:16
- Yeah.
00:44:17
- I'm going to give you a little bit more time.
00:44:18
I'm going to give you a little bit more time.
00:44:19
- Yeah.
00:44:20
- I'm going to give you a little bit more time.
00:44:21
- Yeah, I'm going to give you a little bit more time.
00:44:22
Sometimes Christmas countertop spray that I love.
00:44:26
Which is great, but I was like, "Is summer?"
00:44:28
So you sent me one that I actually already had the soap and the dish soap for, but just didn't have the countertop spray.
00:44:35
But it's the time, some Mandarin coriander countertop spray.
00:44:39
It smells so delicious.
00:44:42
And I love citrus anyway.
00:44:45
And I knew I liked the product because I loved the Christmas smelling one.
00:44:51
It's light, it's not heavy, it's not greasy.
00:44:53
It's great on your kitchen counters.
00:44:55
And I'm a big fan of this.
00:44:58
And you know, now that we have new kitchen counters, I wipe them down approximately 42 times a day.
00:45:04
And of course, Dera Crown entered the premises.
00:45:08
You know, Dera fingerprint more than new countertop surface.
00:45:13
So I really love this stuff.
00:45:16
And it smells great.
00:45:18
So there's that.
00:45:19
The second thing is maybe a little sad.
00:45:24
Yeah, I enjoy it.
00:45:26
I'm spreading the word because I have enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.
00:45:29
So I ordered an acrylic garbage bag holder from Amazon.
00:45:34
I love this thing.
00:45:37
You just put your big-all-roll fidget bags in there.
00:45:41
And no matter where you keep them, it's great.
00:45:43
And it's just like a little, it's like a Kleenex box for your garbage bags.
00:45:47
It's fantastic.
00:45:48
And I love it.
00:45:49
Okay.
00:45:50
And so, and I don't mind it being kind of out in the open 'cause it's acrylic and it's cute.
00:45:54
Yeah, 'cause yeah, I know that's like, I have an acrylic Kleenex holder.
00:45:57
It's, you know, listen, they make an acrylic to hold anything and then you're like, no, it can be out on display.
00:46:02
Yeah.
00:46:03
My third thing is I discovered really through trial and error that, you know, I like crystal light.
00:46:09
And it's my favorite thing to drink after supper.
00:46:11
I love some crystal light after supper.
00:46:13
And so I tried all different flavors.
00:46:16
Well, I had some peach iced tea and I had some lemonade and I thought, what if I mix these together with that kind of be like a peach normal Palmer?
00:46:22
Well, as it turns out, yes, it's exactly like a peach normal Palmer and it is so tasty.
00:46:28
So you get the picture packs of peach crystal light, peach tea crystal light and a picture pack of the lemonade crystal light.
00:46:38
And you put one packet in a, I don't know what size it is in a big picture.
00:46:43
Is that a gold one size picture?
00:46:45
And mix them together and it's so good.
00:46:49
It's such a delicious summary beverage, so.
00:46:53
Okay.
00:46:54
All right, that sounds delicious.
00:46:55
That sounds very refreshing.
00:46:57
It's very refreshing.
00:46:58
My fourth thing, one of my girls, well, when I used to work at school, this was one of the girls in the class above Alex's on her Instagram a couple of weeks ago.
00:47:09
She was in New York and there was the cutest picture of her and she had a bag that I thought was adorable.
00:47:15
You know how I am about a bag.
00:47:17
Oh, I know you love a bag.
00:47:18
I love it back.
00:47:19
And so I was like, I need to know more about this bag.
00:47:22
Well, it turns out it's from Missouri.
00:47:24
This was Catherine.
00:47:26
I was looking at Catherine's pictures and her best friend, Haley, had ordered her this bag for her birthday.
00:47:32
And I was like, I believe I will.
00:47:35
I believe I will get me well as well.
00:47:37
And it's not expensive.
00:47:39
It's super lightweight.
00:47:42
It's the shoulder strap that goes, it has a cross body strap, but just like the regular shoulder strap is perfect.
00:47:49
Like it's just like the perfect size.
00:47:51
Just text right up under your arm.
00:47:53
And you can get the strap monogram if that is sort of, oh, that is darling.
00:48:00
And I can't.
00:48:01
Okay, all right.
00:48:03
I may be getting this.
00:48:04
This is really cute.
00:48:05
I really like it.
00:48:06
I'll go ahead and tell you then that I ordered G1.
00:48:07
So I have one here for you.
00:48:09
Oh, okay.
00:48:10
That was so nice.
00:48:12
I'm so happy.
00:48:14
And I got, I got a maroon MS on it 'cause it might has a maroon SA on it.
00:48:18
Well, listen, but I'll bring it when we get a media days.
00:48:22
Won't the Lord provide?
00:48:24
Okay, I'm so excited.
00:48:25
It's so cute.
00:48:26
It's like super fast.
00:48:27
Yeah, it's really cute.
00:48:28
Love it.
00:48:29
And then the last thing, again, this is a specific product, but this is something I didn't even realize I made it.
00:48:36
So you know how when you're traveling and you're packing all your stuff and like always use a lot of zip locks to pack stuff that get weak or whatever.
00:48:45
I was watching one of my favorite TikTok organizational people, Katherine Benson.
00:48:50
And she was packing for a trip.
00:48:52
And I noticed she was putting these things over her bottles and I was like, what is that?
00:48:56
And there are these things.
00:48:58
They're silicone travel sleeves.
00:49:00
And you can put them over anything.
00:49:03
Like it's like a little balloon that just doesn't have that.
00:49:06
It's not like, you know, a cinch at the bottom.
00:49:10
And so it can go over your sunscreen bottle.
00:49:14
It can go over your moisturizer.
00:49:16
It can go over your shampoo, whatever.
00:49:19
And I bought a pack of tin and it's the kind of thing like if something did leak, it's not gonna get out from under that little travel sleeve.
00:49:30
But if it does leak, then you just turn it wrong side out and wash it off in the sink, wherever you're staying.
00:49:37
And then it's good to let it dry out and it's good to go for your return trip.
00:49:40
- So.
00:49:41
- Okay, this is genius.
00:49:42
I'm ordering these right now.
00:49:43
I'm ordering these all happen for Omaha.
00:49:45
This feels like a necessity.
00:49:47
- Yeah, I just thought the number of times I have gotten somewhere.
00:49:49
And, you know, like something, you know, usually it's my foundation or something like that has leaked into my makeup bag.
00:49:59
And so you try to protect stuff as much as you can, but that's why you can protect stuff individually and it keeps you from having to use, you know, a bajillion ziplock bags.
00:50:07
- Yes, ziplock bags.
00:50:08
- Yeah, because then you don't want to put multiple things in one ziplock bag because then you feel like, well, then I'm just gonna get my lotion all over my hair spray.
00:50:14
- 100%.
00:50:15
And then there's a go over any size container.
00:50:18
It'll work.
00:50:18
They're stretchy.
00:50:19
They snap into place, kind of pop into place once you get them on there.
00:50:24
I don't know who thought of this, but cadets to you, ma'am, sorry.
00:50:28
- Yeah.
00:50:29
- Whoever you want.
00:50:30
- Well done.
00:50:31
Well done.
00:50:32
I'm ordering these right now.
00:50:33
- So we're going these right now.
00:50:34
- There you have it.
00:50:35
Those are my five favorites.
00:50:37
- These are delightful.
00:50:38
These are great favorites.
00:50:39
This has really benefited me and my travel journeys that are coming up.
00:50:45
So I laughed, y'all appreciate just what we were talking about.
00:50:49
I got home yesterday and I'm pairing our talking 'cause we hadn't talked to Tyne while I was gone just 'cause I was at baseball and whatever.
00:50:55
And I was, Caroline came home and she's like, I'm gonna go take a nap 'cause we had been up so late the night before.
00:50:59
And then I was telling pairing.
00:51:00
I was like, so anyway, I was like, so Omaha, I've gotta check my flight.
00:51:03
And he looked at me and he goes, do you know that you've been doing jazz hands the entire time that you've been talking to me?
00:51:10
And I was, I just had my hands the whole time.
00:51:15
And it was like, and then we're going here.
00:51:17
And then our hotel.
00:51:17
And then we got this and then the Aggies.
00:51:19
And then we're playing Florida.
00:51:20
And he was like, yeah, you've been doing jazz hands for like 10 minutes.
00:51:24
- There was the excitement of a trip.
00:51:27
And then there's the excitement of a sports-related trip.
00:51:31
- And that is a different level.
00:51:34
It is a different level.
00:51:35
- And a couple of people have been so nice to already send me like that live in Omaha that are like, here are the restaurants where you need to go.
00:51:41
Here's the best coffee shop.
00:51:42
Here's the whatever.
00:51:43
So I so appreciate that because that's so helpful when you're going somewhere new and you gotta figure a bunch of stuff out.
00:51:49
- I just cannot wait.
00:51:50
I cannot wait.
00:51:51
I cannot wait to watch.
00:51:53
- I know.
00:51:54
I'm super excited.
00:51:54
I'm super excited.
00:51:55
So anyway, so that's that's that.
00:51:59
- So we'll be back next week.
00:52:01
- Meli, maybe in Omaha.
00:52:03
- Yeah.
00:52:04
- I'm gonna pack my microphone.
00:52:06
- We don't know.
00:52:06
- We'll pack my microphone.
00:52:07
- Yeah, so we'll see what happens.
00:52:09
- All right, we'll talk to you later.
00:52:11
- All right, bye everybody.
00:52:12
- Bye, y'all.
