In 1948 a horrific murder shocked Sao Paulo, Brazil, the tragedy became known as "The Crime of the Pit" but to others the brutality of the killings, caused the land to be cursed and invite the devil. The neighborhood became known as "The Home of the Devil" and decades later another terrible tragedy would be blamed on the curse.
