The Cross Has The Final Word
Description
In the Bible, a man hung on a cross, guilty, broken, and out of time. He had no chance to fix his life, no record of having done good, and no time left for religion. But in his final breath, he turned to Jesus and said, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom” (Luke 23:42 ).
It wasn’t a perfect prayer, but it was a desperate cry from the heart. And Jesus answered, “Today you will be with Me in paradise” (Luke 23:43 ). That’s called grace. That’s the mercy of God.
I can almost hear that man in eternity now, leaning over to Jesus and saying, “Who are we rescuing from the kingdom of darkness today?”
Because every time a heart says, “Lord, remember me,” the mercy of God moves through Jesus Christ. It’s the cross, not your past or your present, that has the final word.
Call on Him now. Just say, “Jesus, remember me.”
It’s time to pray.
