Description

South Korea in the 1980s was going through a lot of changes. Whilst protests were breaking out in the capital just years before, a rural town called Hwaseong had other things to be worried about. The small town was forced to deal with a series of killings that started in 1986.
The killer targeted women of all ages and even became so brazen as to invade one girl’s home for the purpose of killing her. The police in Hwaseong were under immense pressure to catch this menace with the little resources they had. Instead of pursuing several leads, they focused on one unlikely suspect that in the end had to suffer their ire whilst the true murderer roamed free.
This episode contains details of sexual assault, so please take care of yourself whilst listening.
