Episode Highlights
08:18 – Army has an amazing program. They send you to school for two years, and once you complete it and pass your nursing board, you are commissioned as an officer. And that changed the whole story.
17:45 – Aiden wasn’t talking. I did not want him not to be able to tell his teacher what he wanted or needed, or even to come home and tell me what was going on there. So, I decided to stay at home.
22:43 – I enrolled them into a traditional school, but I don’t know how long that’s going to last. Aiden is reading second-grade level, Isaia is the first-grade math. I do not want the teacher to not focus on their strength.
28:16 – I believe that there is going to be a change and people on the spectrum are going to be recognized for who they really are. They are gifted, they just see things differently.
30:25 – Fixin’ Crowns Book Club is right now just a virtual book club for melanated women. We do wellness events. And we travel.
