Nicolae Paulescu is an uncommon part of Nationalist history. His career was mostly as a doctor, today famous for the discovery of insulin. Due to his Orthodox Nationalist politics, this honor unjustly had been given to others. He was even cheated out of a Nobel Prize. However, given the chaos of interwar Romania, his brilliant medical understanding led him to see Romania as a patient, and a very sick one. He saw a pathogen and he saw a cure. The concept of the hospital is essential to understanding Orthodox National Socialism.
