One thing I’ve discovered in my journey to reclaim my sensuality at midlife is that pelvic movement is one of the most powerful healing tools we have. How we move really matters! How we move is how we be.
As a former Pilates, Yoga, and Barre teacher, I’ve been a strong movement advocate for mind/body/spirit wellness for many years. I still love those methods, they definitely have their place, but if you're looking for a movement practice that truly heals and tones the female pelvic floor and deep core, and nourishes the female libido, they all fall short.
What I’ve found to be true is that when it comes to reclaiming the power of our pelvis, and our sensual sovereignty, sensual movement is gold.
In our high-tech climate, it’s so easy to simply not move enough, or not move in ways that truly nourish us as fluid, sensual beings.
When we get rigid and mechanical in our movement, many ailments can arise.
This can include low libido, pelvic floor issues like incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, back pain, chronic stress, mood swings, sensual shutdown, the list goes on.
But we can begin to change that with a simple, daily sensual movement practice.
