Three Simple Tips to Release Stress & Trauma and Cultivate Calm and Sensual Pleasure
Description
Stress and trauma get stored in the body and can linger for years, even lifetimes. Stagnant energy can cause many, if not all, illnesses. And shut down our libido, creativity, and sensual and sexual expression.
Stored energy from negative experiences, (some that we don't even remember, or perhaps have been passed down through generations), can have a huge impact on our ability to feel safe in our bodies, receive sensual pleasure and access our vitality.
So what can we do? There are effective, tried and true practices that activate the body's natural ability to heal and thrive. Practices that support us in liberating stuck energy from the past so that we can create a more empowering, pleasure filled, and vibrant future.
What I've found to be true is that the simplest practices are usually the most effective. And to be effective, these practices need to be done in a spirit of reverence, love and even awe of the body. And with an almost childlike curiosity.
Our bodies are so wise and know how to release, integrate and even transform and alchemize any negative experiences that block our bliss. We just need to learn how to release top down control and begin to trust this sacred vessel that carries us through life.
The Taoist system has so much to offer us here.
A good place to start is to connect with your feet and your kidneys.
From the Taoist perspective, our feet root us to the Earth and give us access to the Earth's energy as a healing tonic. According to Taoist Reflexology, our kidneys are where we tend to store fear, scarcity, shame and guilt. When we liberate these stagnant energies, we rejuvenate and revitalize from the inside out.
In this episode I share 3 super simple but effective tips to get you started.
