As Christians, we like to see ourselves as loving people. Even though we do our best to live the Great Commandment, we know we fail. Today, we are going to learn a lesson in how to love more like Jesus. You see, one way we fall short is our lack of openness. We may not be as open-minded and open-hearted as we believe we are. Today, we will be challenged by the example of the Roman soldiers who crucified Jesus. They will test our willingness to be open to the movement of God in multiple ways. As witnesses at the cross, what will we bear witness to today?
