Release date: June 7th, 2021

Summary: Change takes time. Consistency and discipline take time. We are halfway through the year and we can always use some time to settle down and re-evaluate our daily habits, our dreams, and what we can do to keep going. There are three practices that can help us help ourselves. We can align our spiritual and physical journeys and glad closure to God when we visualize, apply a method of accountability, and pray.

You’ll hear:

  • About aligning your spiritual and physical goals with Biblical meaning

  • That cherry picking scripture is never good for anyone

  • Focusing on the ways you can nourish your body

  • “Doing good” is subjective

  • How practicing visualization, accountability, and prayer can keep you from quitting

  • Visualizing the outcome of your goal isn’t always the best

  • Accountability saves people from giving up

  • “Life without prayer is like running a vacuum over your carpet and turning around and realizing it’s unplugged.”

Some questions Danielle addresses on the show:

  • What is “doing good” in a health journey?

  • Have you quit?

  • What can you do to stop from quitting?

  • Is my spouse/partner a good accountability partner?

  • How can I pray without feeling intimidated?

What is it that you are visualizing? What is the goal you want to see happen? Tag a friend or share this podcast with a friend to help them be accountable/help you be accountable.

Scripture mentioned:

  • Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

  • Hebrews 12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

  • Romans 8: 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

  • Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
