In today’s episode of Simple Joe, I start with a fun fact about just how long a wooden pencil can write before it finally runs out, and then take you through the weather in Singapore, Cincinnati, and right here in Chester, England. We celebrate a few birthdays, look back at important moments in history, and have some fun with today’s national celebrations, including Fast Food Day, Button Day, and Entrepreneurship Day. Since it’s Sunday, I spend most of our time talking about trusting God with the unknown—why it’s so hard, why we try to control outcomes, and how passages like Matthew 6:34 , Jeremiah 29:11 , and Proverbs 3:5–6 challenge us to let go of tomorrow and walk with God today. I share honestly about my own struggle to trust God when I don’t know how things will turn out, and offer encouragement for anyone in a foggy or uncertain season. It’s a reflective, honest, and calming Sunday conversation about faith, fear, uncertainty, and learning to trust God one step at a time.
