I was struck by Thomas Merton saying of social justice workers, not to focus on results. I am often too focused on results. I worry that if I did not get the "right" result, it was my failure to believe, to act, or to convince, when really, God is always doing that which I cannot see over a span of time I cannot fathom. What is failure to me, is a plan to God. I am going to hold on to this.
