Ukraine Conflict: Billions Spent, Truth Denied, and Why America Comes Last
Description
You’ve probably seen it — the profile picture warriors on social media. They slap a blue-and-yellow filter on their accounts, hashtag “I stand with Ukraine,” swirl their box wine, and pretend they’ve made a difference. But ask them about Ukraine’s history, why the war started, or what America’s real stake is, and you’ll get blank stares.
That’s because the truth about Ukraine isn’t what you’ve been told. And it’s time to lay it out.
A Country Divided Since the USSR
Ukraine has been split politically and culturally since 1991. The western half wants closer ties to the EU. The eastern half — especially Donbas and Crimea — has stronger ties to Russia, fueled by heritage, economics, and geography.
Back in 2014, President Viktor Yanukovych chose a $15 billion deal from Russia over Europe, sparking protests and his eventual removal. The Donbas region and Crimea declared independence, aligning themselves with Russia. These aren’t just symbolic territories — they’re loaded with lithium, titanium, and other resources vital for the green energy industry. In short: the Saudi Arabia of renewables.
Enter Zelensky: The PR President
Fast-forward to 2019. Enter Volodymyr Zelensky — an actor, comedian, and TV personality turned politician. He campaigned on fighting corruption and reclaiming Donbas and Crimea. Instead, he’s presided over devastation:
$400 billion in infrastructure damage
40% of the power grid destroyed
500,000 dead
6 million refugees
And yet, Zelensky’s biggest accomplishment has been his PR tour — chest puffed out in jeans and a T-shirt in the Oval Office, demanding billions more.
America’s Billions at Stake
Here’s what you won’t hear on CNN:
The first $75 billion U.S. check? It fully funded Ukrainian pensions and gave forgivable loans to Ukrainian businesses.
To date, $350 billion of your tax dollars have gone overseas — that’s about $1,500 per taxpayer.
Meanwhile, Americans face skyrocketing food, housing, and energy costs.
If you’re struggling to pay for groceries, rent, or medicine, ask yourself: why are we funding pensions in Ukraine while families here suffer?
Nuclear Propaganda and Fearmongering
The media and politicians love to keep you afraid of “nuclear war.” But nuclear weapons are nearly 100-year-old technology. They’re less efficient and less devastating compared to modern weapons systems. It’s propaganda — designed to keep Americans silent while the billions keep flowing.
America First Is Common Sense
Donald Trump and J.D. Vance are right — America’s leaders should put our people first. Safety, security, and economic stability for citizens should be the government’s #1 job. Instead, Biden and the Democrats have turned Ukraine into a cash pipeline for their green energy agenda, draining Americans while selling fear.
Final Thoughts
Ukraine’s conflict is complicated, but one truth is simple: this war is not America’s fight. We’ve spent hundreds of billions, propped up foreign pensions, and been fed a steady diet of lies.
It’s time to stop writing blank checks overseas and start putting America first.
Because until our leaders start telling the truth, they’re not just failing Ukraine — they’re failing you.
I’m Andy Parish. I’m right. Deal with it.
