Understanding the new Medicare Dementia GUIDE program
Description
Medicare has introduced the new GUIDE program that
focuses on comprehensive, coordinated dementia care and aims to improve quality of life for people with dementia, reduce strain on their unpaid caregivers, and enable people with dementia to remain in their homes and communities.
Unfortunately, there's not a lot of people living with
dementia and their caregivers that know anything about the program and its benefits. Hosts Brian Browne and Lizzy Rasmussen are joined by David Dlesk of Embrace Prevention Care. They discuss all the benefits of the program and what providers; Medicare recipients and caregivers need to know
in order to participate.
